This fryer is hard to clean thoroughly (cleaning the heating element without wetting the electronics is a real pain!), the filter doesn't remove any grease odor so you need to use the machine outdoors, the thermostat is not digital and difficult to set accurately.This thing is such a pain to use and clean that we barely ever use it.I guess that's a good thing from a health standpoint.
